Namibia Tour - November 1996

For my final overland trip, I revisited Namibia with Drifters. We took in some of the places I'd previously seen, and visited new spots - Luderitz, Swarkopmund, Spitzkoppe, Numis, Waterberg and Augrabies Falls back in South Africa.

Unfortunately, a lot of my photos didn't come out, so there's only really the first part of the trip covered here...

The ghost town of Kolmanskop... is this a ghost dog being held by Wayne (our guide)? As usual I showed no fear on approaching the Ghost Town is this Ghost skittle that Rob is playing...? Campsite at Numis L-R: Andrea, Sandra, Bjorn, Moi, Olivier, Rob There's always somewhere to get petrol in the desert...!!!
Back to the Fish River Canyon Absolutely knackered. after the climb out the canyon... Soon refreshed with a cold can... The drive through the Namib Desert The lunar-like landscape of the Namib desert.
Back to Soussevlai and those sand dunes. and they still felt pretty high to be climbing... Thank God there was a cold Holstein to hand... A spot of sandboarding in the dunes near Swarkopmund.
