New Zealand - South Island:- March 1996

And so to Christchurch, the most English of New Zealand's cities. After living in 10 other peoples pockets for 3 weeks, what I needed was some quality time alone. I found this on the 4 day Southern Bays Walk, around the Banks Peninsula near Christchurch. Very relaxing...

After, this I headed south to Dunedin, the most Scottish of New Zealand's cities. And then it was time to head back to the land of Oz....

One of Christchurch's major tourist attractions (and weirdos!!) - the famous Wizard of Cathedral Squaer. This guy's got an opinion on anything and everything. Looking along the River Avon, Christchurch - it could almost be Stratford on Avon. Southern Banys walk.... Macracarpa Cottage - home for the first night of the walk... Yes it's me, relaxed on the coast of the Banks peninsula
The cliffs of Hells Gate One of those Southern Bays... Onto Dunedina nd the Otago Peninsula - a seal relaxes before a night's clubbing. And finally - what better way to leave New Zealand then a trip round Speight's brewery. Leaves a nice taste in the mouth... Australia here I come...
